This week has been a full one! First, Robb had me put on his car insurance so that I can chauffeur folks around if needed. If that doesn't seem like a big deal, you haven't seen Tirane traffic. People don't obey the traffic lights, and the cops directing traffic are comically inept (but luckily ignored by everyone). And the less said about the pedestrians, the better. So I drove the car around town a bit on various errands and I started to get the hang of things. No biggie.
After that I had a nice trip to southern Albania (Vlorë) with Roger, and I had quite a good time. Roger speaks to a college group there once each month. They were lots of fun - and so on fire for Christ! Mostly they made a great impression, but they made me drink this stuff called dhall - it has a weird taste that I can't quite place. Roger thought he recognized it ("it tastes like DEATH!") but I think he's stretching. Anyway it's either thin, watery yogurt or thin, watery whey - nobody could quite tell me.
Anyway I got home and went to music practice - always fun - then Saturday I had tons of stuff to do: A get-together with the Young Professionals (my sunday school class) where we played Uno and chatted. I left early to go to a concert with some kids from the church. The orchestra had a guest conductor in from Russia, and all the music was by Russian composers. Anyway it was fun - the music was great and it was fun to hang out. However, the concert went long and I missed my third event of the evening - dinner and computer repair with Gordon and Mary Beth. But I just did it Sunday so everything worked out.

What a blast! Sounds like a busy, but fun week. So glad to hear it may be all work, but there's a lot of play in the midst. What great opportunities the Lord is giving you--what neat experiences--what life long friends!
What a great way to share your Albanian experience! Thanks for the Blog
Joe
